I am Senior Research Scientist at Inria since 2014, and Director of the Inria center at the University of Lille, after having been its Head of Science from February 2020 to December 2023.
In 2018, I founded the project-team Loki, a joint research team between Inria (center at the University of Lille) and the University of Lille, within the CRIStAL laboratory (CNRS UMR 9189, Université de Lille & Centrale Lille, and was its leader until December 2023.
I defended my PhD in Computer Science in 2005 at the University of Nantes, and carried out two postdoctoral fellowships (at Télécom ParisTech and LRI/CNRS). I was then hired as an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Université Paris-Sud/IUT d'Orsay, member of the Laboratoire de Recherche en Informatique, in the in|situ| team (Inria Saclay - Île-de-France and LRI) from 2007 to 2014.

My research field is Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I am first interested in better understanding and describe the phenomena related to people's interactions with technology, in order to propose new and more appropriate ways of interacting with technology. I therefore conduct my research in multiple technological (e.g., desktop computers, tactile interaction, virtual reality) and application (e.g., support for creativity, mobility conditions) contexts. My other field of interest is the engineering of interactive systems, in particular models and tools that enable the prototyping, study and development of advanced interactive technologies (e.g., software architecture models, programming languages and libraries, development environments).
